Membership

Why Join?

The membership year for the National Alumnae Association of Spelman College (NAASC) begins July 1st and runs through June 30th of the following year.

NAASC is the official organization that supports Spelman College through financial gifts, sisterhood, community service, student recruitment, and recognition of Spelman women.

With your continued membership and support of the NAASC’s programs, we are able to:

  • Educate future generations of Spelman women
  • Develop alumnae leaders
  • Represent alumnae as a unified body when presenting issues of concern to the college

Your membership and involvement is desired at both the National and Local chapter levels.  As such, membership dues are collected by both the National and Local chapters (national dues are a requirement of joining a local chapter).

How to Join

Step 1 – Pay National Alumnae Association Dues FIRST

  • You must be a dues-paying National alumnae association member BEFORE proceeding to join a local chapter.*
  • After paying your National dues, you will receive a confirmation email with proof of national membership.

*This is a national requirement of NAASC.

Step 2 – Prepare Proof of National Dues Payment

You will need to forward the confirmation email that contains your National association membership card.  The national association membership card will look like the following:

Please forward the email with this card to membershipcards@naascnova.org.

NOTE:  It is a national requirement of NAASC that all local chapter members are also dues-paying members at the national level.
